McCallum Park Footpath Upgrade

Upgrading the shared footpath at McCallum Park involved widening a busy shared footpath and constructing approximately 1 km of new pathway.

Major challenges included proximity to the Swan River, coordinating with the Swan River Trust, Town of Victoria Park and trade contractors and obtaining approvals from the relevant authorities.

The project included demolition, installing sub-base and kerbing work with new asphalt, new concrete paths, hardstands and electrical conduits and inspection pits.

Vital to the success of the project was effective management of pedestrian and cyclists, noise, dust and hydrocarbon, waste management and mitigating vegetation impact.

This high quality project was completed on time and without incident. Using innovative technics and practices delivered cost savings to the client.
